Meeting times are decided at the beginning of every semester based on the schedules of those interested in attending the meetings regularly.

Housing

Below are some useful web sites to help you find housing in Austin. Please note that the University has a system of shuttle buses which run both on and off campus. They even travel to neighborhoods far from campus if a large number of students live there. They are free for students, so when you look for a place to live, be sure to ask if the place is on a shuttle route. Students may also ride the Austin city buses (Capitol Metro) for free.

The International Office's web site is an excellent place to start: http://www.utexas.edu/international/isss/housing/

Check the on-line “Classified” sections of the daily Austin American Statesman, the weekly Austin Chronicle or The Daily Texan for apartments, rooms, sub-leases. Select “Central” Austin for addresses nearest The University of Texas at Austin.

Contact an Apartment Locator Service (Apartments are usually rented in person, but apartment locator services assist you before arrival, and may pick you up at the airport! They will also drive you to look at apartments, and best of all, they are free)
