Research

For details of my research see my curriculum vitae and my publications page. My interests are primarily in syntax and its relation to lexical semantics, including: I was also a project member of the Lingustic Grammars Online (LinGO) and Head-driven Phrase Structure Grammar (HPSG) projects at the Center for the Study of Language and Information (CSLI). See my grammars page for a list of grammars I developed with the HPSG/LinGO projects.

My Erdös number is at most a 5.

Courses

Coming soon.

Pictures

For a rough idea of what I used to look like, here's a picture of me circa June 2001, taken by my friend David Stringer-Calvert. Here's a picture of me from a gig sometime in April 2002, and here's a photo from a gig at the LSA 2003 Institute in July. Here's one of my friend Jakov and I at his going away party. And of course here's a picture of Joseph Beuys getting attacked by a coyote.

Hobbies

My main hobby by leaps and bounds is music.
